“From London With Love is a project which takes place both in London, the UK, and Plovdiv, Bulgaria, thus forming a dialogue between the two cities. In Plovdiv, I placed a large billboard for two weeks with the message: 'From London with Love'. In London, I returned this message on the Shoreditch Art Wall, saying 'From Plovdiv with Love' in Bulgarian. The project is a personal message on a public scale, a billboard sized postcard connecting one city to another, and more imporantly, their respective countries. It aims to address the issues that surround existing preconceptions and the ambiguous relationship between Bulgaria and the UK; and to a larger extent between Eastern and Western Europe. Directed at random passers-by, it's an acknowledgement, a provocation, a social comment, a joke or an ironic statement. A step towards informal exchange on an international scale.
