Anthea Missy paints the Shoreditch Artwall
After her quick start in visual arts in 2014, Anthea Missy has since painted many murals in Europe and Asia, blending abstract art characters with embryonic patterns, progressively upscaling the size of her pieces in space.
’ The Infinite of us ’ visible on the Shoreditch Artwall is a contemporary abstract work that will question the viewer about the notion of meaning and its visual translation .
’ I came to London during Sunday night from Brussels , crashed in Shoreditch on Monday morning and painted the artwork in a couple of hours in the afternoon , having set to myself to use the same process as for an illegal piece of work of the same size , as fast as I can ’ , thus incorporating the real street art modus operandi in her street piece in the Shoreditch artwall.
Special thanks to The Shoreditch Artwall Company, Giuseppe from La Trattoria , Theo from the art t shirts shop, Glen from the Blindshop , Rian from the pub, and all the nice people who talked the talk on Monday.
